Hello all,
I am trying to plumb in a cab heater in my 3610 Gehl skid loader cab. I have a 3KR1 Isuzu 3 cylinder diesel engine in it. Come to find out, this engine has British pipe threads in the block. Anyone have a good source I can find these pipe fittings? Not much luck locally here. Thank you.

After reading the link it seems the BSP threads are cut at 55 % and the NPT threads are standard 60% thread. Not interchangeable.

I'm no help, but you've heard the early forecasts of a tough rough winter ahead too eh? ;)

Gundoctor,

And... Some have slightly different thread pitch! Just close enough to hand start, but WILL leak if forced in! Then the fitting AND the threaded hole are buggered up!

Kow Farmer, let me know if you don't get it figured out. There is British parallel pipe threads and British pipe tapered threads. If you need to contact me, my email address is [email protected]. We are a Parker distributor in Olathe, KS.

Hi Pat,
I was told at work to find a Parker dealer for the fittings. Do you have a phone number I can call you at please? I like to talk live to a person rather than communicate by computer. I don't ever check my email much. My cell number is 507-276-0553. I am in southern Minnesota. Thank you very much.

Hi Paul,
I haven't heard the winter forecast. That doesn't sound good though. I am tired of having frozen knees while moving snow. Getting older isn't helping any either. LOL

BSP threads are also NOT tapered as in BritishStraightPipe as I get it.

Kurt,
I hope I was able to help. Thread ID is a major part of my job. I do enjoy helping people whether I make any money on it at all. Everyone's situation is unique. There are so many different brands of equipment out there, alot of times I can tell what it is just knowing what brand machinery people are working on. I hope things work out well for you. Have a safe and happy 4th of July weekend.
