I just got this tractor started after sitting for a few years, I didnt drain the old gas but did add new, I bought a new battery filed the points and it fired right up. And I cant get my video to come up, sorry,

I spent a lot of time on a '43 B. My Dad said the original owners were 2 brothers. Tractors were hard to get during the war, so they shared it. Put lights on it so they could trade off running it around the clock if needed. When he sold it, it was very worn, but still ran.

Picture of 1939 or 1940 B take in June or July of 1944. Could not get farm eguipment so he had to make cultivators.

Sounds like it didn't take much to get it running again.

Sometimes these old tractors amaze me how they can sit for months and with a little effort are ready to go again.

We enjoy using <a href="https://youtu.be/WEKes6liznk">"John B" our war time 43B</a>.

Right now the block is being bored .090" with new pistons.

Should be in better shape when it comes back home.

.....couldn't get rubber so he ran on steel.

Additionally, that pitifully poor crop. Thank you GMO hybrids. I love 'em.....but my overly educated 50 year old daughter doesn't.......what she doesn't know is that she has been eating GMO all her life and there was food on the table partially due to GMO making it available in sufficient quantity.

I cant get my video to work, but this picture was taken at the same time , my son in law driving it, I just filed the points and put the new battery in it, and washed it.

Some of my corn looks like that now and I am using GMO seed. We have not had any rain to measure in several weeks and that delayed germination. I am old enough to remember tractors like the old JD B working on local farms. They did grow a lot of corn back then but it was a lot of work.
