4,000 hour 7240, the suspension was so beat, I had to take the seat and suspension out together, and start tearing the suspension apart to get the seat to slide enough to get the last bolt out.
Then they got us the wrong suspension, it was for an R series Deere. Difference? Instead of having a pair of wires coming out of the suspension to a weatherpac connector, it has a 10-way and an 8-way plug on it.
The road service guy spent 20 minutes finding a wiring diagram to find out which 2 wires to snip behind the 10-way connector, to splice the original wires into for airing up the seat.
Plugged the modified "operator pressure sensor" wires back into the tractor and it's good to go.
The air bag leaked but I did save the old compressor. We may have a use for it already.
And for anyone running a New Holland self-propelled swather, if you tell someone to pull it in to work on it, who says he doesn't think he's ever even been in one, be sure to tell him the steering wheel works arse-backwards in reverse. Somehow I missed the shop doors.
