radiator thinking caps

CAT mini excavator. Radiator is almost completely blocked with 'organic' funk. So baked it is difficult to scrape off. Thinking a solvent would be a good first step before the wash. Afraid of adversely affecting metal on rad and hyd cooler. No idea what they are made of. Suggestions on solvent that would soften whatever this dirt/pollen/?? is?

Hot water and low pressure is best, we do that often to trucks at work with the hot water pressure washer turned way down

Water hose. If it's oily and won't come off, soak a couple cans of wd40 or blaster into it then rinse again.

Or it could be like a loader tractor that never left the silage pit, and never got the radiator blown out. Replace the radiator.
