Helping unfortunate neighbors

Operated a combine belonging to my son today to cut the wheat crop of a neighbor who passed away about a week ago. This is a pic of one of the crews combines, which included two belonging to my son.

You bet. That's what it's all about. I cannot think of a single one of my rural neighbors who wouldn't drop everything to help one of the others out.

Rural neighbors are the best in the world. When my Dad passed away 4 and a half years ago our barn was full of neighbors that had plenty to do on their own farms but still made it their priority to help us during a very difficult time. It always feels good helping someone back in return or paying it forward.

My Grandpa died in 1952 just at wheat harvest time. All the farmers in the community brought their tractors and combines and helped cut wheat. Most were Allis All Crops and one JD combine.
