The Babies Got New Shoes Today

Time to shoe all 4 so the regular farrier brought a friend to help. The blacker team just got re-set but the light colored team got new ones. Takes a lot of effort to heat and shape the shoes to fit their feet correctly. For those that might know something about horseshoe sizes, these guys take #8's on the fronts and #7's on the backs. Good for another 6-8 weeks. Bob

It's a job... I don't really miss the free horse I got for my girlfriend and had to take care of and pay the vet way too much and trim its toenails and find a place to winter it in that didn't involve cattle. It was old but supposedly the best horse anyone in this area had seen in a coon's age.

Nice enough horse... Can't train a girlfriend new tricks.. Meaning: How to take care of an animal.. Work with it.. Etc.

But I was totally impressed with the farrier... Showed up, didn't care the situation, got the horse rounded up and done. Very nice man.

Don't ask my old man his opinion of horses.

Think me and your old man would agree.Horses aren't they those things that bite one end and kick on the other all the while they drain your bank account dry?

What kind of Horsepower ratings do they put out, and is the gas bad. LOL
