Got back to the transplant. Kohler 12.5 hp instead of blown 19.5 Briggs. I got the wiring to make it run. However when I release the brake or engage the manual deck belt control the engine dies. Reverse the movement and it stays running if you catch it soon enough. I am sure it is a safety switch issue, but not sure which way to go. I need to find the switches and figure out what to do at that point. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Roy

The original engine probably had an ignition with power to the trigger to make it run. The electrical safety was a series circuit through each switch to the ignition. The replacement engine was probably grounded at each switch to stop it if the switch was closed. Look at the diagrams, or use a volt meter to diagnose the effect of each switch. Replacing them might be necessary. Jim

Seat switch is missing. There are 3 wires to it. Black, black with white stripe and white with black stripe. I will try to figure out what they are good for. I will bypass in the meantime to keep this project going.
