Went fishing this morning, great time! One small problem though. I need to teach my grandson and wife proper fishing etiquette :( . They need to learn that they are never, ever supposed to catch a fish before the boat owner, never catch more fish than the boat owner and to never ever catch a larger fish than the boat owner!

No I did not get skunked but it was close:oops:

Was the reason they did better because
you were busy helping them bait and
untangleing there line? If not that
would be my story!

We were lure fishing and I did spend some time tying on lures for them and fixing problems they were having plus running the boat!

lure fishing ???? I just buy my lures at the tackle shop !!!! but then my fish come from the freezer section at the grocery too.....LOL

reminds me i need to go , i havent been in a long time just too busy and thats worse than you guys! fishing creek is 60 feet from my back door

Living in the "heart of the lakes region" here in MN I'm within 15 minutes of at least 15 launch ramps on that many lakes. I don't get out nearly as often as I would like to. Plus there are fish in the creek that run through our property about 150 yards from the house. I don't get out as often as I should

The answer to that is the person that catches the most has to clean them. Personally I'd be happen to exchange cleaning fish for a good fishing day.

We do enjoy some Mississippi and small lake fishing. The best fishing is the stocked pond at the end of my lane.

Today was the last day for a real nice fella that has been my contact for one of my customers for a long time. Real nice fella. 35 years, time to take it easier. I asked if the better half was retired as well and he said no, she's a teacher and off for the summer. I asked what's on the agenda and he said sleep in tomorrow until about 6:30 since he usually gets up around 5:00, and then after spending his first day of retirement with the better half...a whole lot of fishing. By God, I wish him and the sort the very best forever.

Catch one and fry and eat it for me.

[b:65872f5bb8]Teach them????????? You can't even teach them to fish, what make's you think you can teach them anything else? If anything, you should ask them nicely to teach you a few things about fishing. [/b:65872f5bb8]

LOL yea that's about how I felt today! Normally if someone is going to catch fish it's me. That's the first time someone has out fished me in years. Just glad it was my grandson. He really got a kick out of it!

That may be the problem. I started teaching him how to fish when he was 4. I guess the student has become the master!
