I dont do drugs.I dont drink.I dont smoke. I dont gamble(ok,I'm a farmer LOL).....But I do old and antique tractors, And that is pretty much the same thing! :)

You know, as I think about it, all my old good-timing buddies that used to smoke, and drink, and use drugs [ yep, I had a few ] and hang out in bars .... they're all dead. Not saying I am a saint, I used to sin just like the rest.... but I quit that stuff.

I have lost 8 lbs since I gave up Strawberry jam. Mostly sugar and the less bread or crackers I eat, the better. If I have treats in the house I will eat them all in a day or two, so I avoid making cookies, cakes and brownies. Ice Cream is a daily serving until it is gone, so I stopped buying it. I believe it is an addiction because if it is there, I am going to have it.

My wife tells everyone that I don't drink, smoke, or fool around, but it sure would be cheaper if I did!

not the same, yes your still broke lol, but with old iron, when you go outside the next morning your iron is still there, not so with drugs and drink, your money with old iron actually buys something you can have to show people, with the other the best you have is stories or pics of your antics while under the influence, which you really dont want to see....

I too have no additions to drugs, drink, food, smoking, chewing or wild women. Love my old tractors, but they are working girls too.

Once a week I trailer my jubilee to my west property, West of WTH. Stop off at a gas station to gas up. It takes me 10 minutes to tell the boys about the tractor. And hear their story of the old tractor they have that needs something. I told the last guy that has an Oliver, go to YT and see if he couldn't find a seat for it. Also told him about the Oliver site here too.

Flowers and landscaping is my addition, bosses too. Been working on turning the old gravel pit into a park. Years of work and it finally coming around. Sometimes in the evening we will go for a Kawasaki mule ride and admire the beauty. geo

Same here. I guess there is some point where old tractors are an addiction. My biggest bad habit is over eating.

I went to see my Doctor and I told him that I do not smoke, drink or run around with wild women. I then asked him if I would live to be one hundred and he said "no, but it will seem like it." We all need some sort of vice to spice up our lives and if it is old iron, then enjoy it. Happy farming.

Guilty as charged. It's uhm, rust and pictures of rust... and spending time cruising around a certain tractor website. LOL

I'll venture a guess. If you have old tractors you probably have been known to use a cuss word or two. I understand some view that as a bad habit.

All the people that did those things when I was young are gone, so no use to go back to ND in the summer because everyone I knew during my years there is gone. My brother comes to AZ in the wintertime so we see him then.

Do you find your self buying another old tractor in spite of telling your self NO?

You may have a problem with old tractors!

Do you find your self spending $5000 on a tractor that will bring $1000 only if the right person comes along?

You may have a problem with old tractors!

Do you find your self preferring to be in the shop with your tractors than in the house watching chick flicks with your wife?

Never mind... I'm still in denial! LOL

No drinkin, drugs or booze for me either. But you can add welding and fabricating to tractors for me. If you think you can spend money on tractors buy a good welder and supplies sometime. A trip to the steel supplier is as bad as a trip to Fleet Farm.

You buy a used GARDEN tractor that is a real beast! Everything you look at or touch is bent, worn, broken, or oversized. You bought it three years ago for $700.oo and since then have spent HOW MUCH!!!! Welding, parts, pieces, ETC. Now it is together and works!

I got the drinking out of my system when I left the Navy. Now it's motorcycles, tractors, and my 52 Plymouth. I just enjoy turning wrenches. Stan

Does it mean I have a problem when my 5 year old grand daughter sees a rusty loader bucket for sale and says I need it because it looks like some of my things

I don't drink, smoke, chew or screw or associate with those that do, but I never tried chewing.

Well, I gave up smoking, chewing, and going to church{I am still a believer} and been married too long for wild women for beer brewing, Harley Davidsons and my Ford tractors. The Wife said I wouldn't be able to afford my 3 favorites if I had a girlfriend, she'd make sure of that. Life's fun.

My downfall is drinking. Milk. And when I drink milk I have to have cookies. When I have cookies I have to have milk. Late at night. 285 and counting. I've quit smoking two or three times, finally for good 35 years ago. Piece of cake compared to milk and cookies. (Piece of cake? Also goes well with milk.)

No drugs,no smoke and no chew. My addiction has always been having to compete and/or try to be as perfect as I can at whatever activity it is. ( adrenalin rush I guess ) NO , I can't bowl "just for fun"...what's funner than winning? (3 - 300,s , 1- 299 , too many 700+ to count. and many tournament wins.) Same way back in my 20,s with motocross and ice racing. (ended when kids came along) Table tennis...same thing along with horseshoes (75% ringers and many tournaments with brother)Even Monopoly! People hate playing with me. Never tried golf because it's too expensive to get good at it and won't play otherwise. Not too surprising that body / paint/ restoration was my profession since it requires a certain degree of perfection. Now that I'm old and physically somewhat handicaped , it is JD 2 cyl carbs and learning piano during winter. That will probably be it for me. ( Wife says "thank God" )

Like the old feller said: I don't drink, smoke, gamble, chase wild women. No bad habits, except I lie a little bit.
