Someone gripes from time to time about discussions that do not pertain to tractors. I am grateful for all the wisdom and knowledge that members of this forum have and are willing to share. I encourage all of those, who have no other concerns in life but tractors, to be patient with those of us who have a life outside the tractor shed, but also love tractors.

I'm with you, I like tractors but I enjoy other things too. Some types of posts can irritate me but I try to stay away from them. Mostly if I'm irritated the real problem isn't the post it's me :)

Agree, it keeps things interesting. I even enjoy the political type posts even thought the often do not last long. I always say lighten up and have a sense of humor.

If you don't have a sense of humor PLEASE don't get into tractors. They require it to look at, run, and work on. I have so much sense of humor I need more tractors.

I tell you what I have learned more from reading OT subjects from the people here that you could ever find out anywhere ! A very diverse and knowledgeable group !
And believe it or not if you like tractors and own tractors EVERYTHING (even politics) effects you as agriculture is still the largest industry in the USA.

Mike, My momma said you can take the boy off the farm, but you can't take the farm out of the boy. Can't argue with momma. Except for the first year of college , I've always loved in the country. George

I sure agree about OT knowledge on here. Hope it continues. has helped me out more than once on subjects other than tractors.

People have to lighten up and think of it as a neighborhood coffee shop where conversations wander.

I agree, I've been a member on here for almost 10 years and visited a long time before that. There is a wealth of knowledge on here but there is a lot of BS too. I believe that you can get a feel for the credibility of the posts by reading the OT comments. There are some that I disagree with their politics but they have a logical reason for thinking the way they do. I believe that they have a great deal to contribute. Then there are those that don't seem to have a logical thought process. These people I'm reluctant to trust for any advise on tractors or equipment.

I have enjoyed other problems as I have found sometimes I run into the same trouble in everyday life , and no tractor involved .

Yep you're right. My buddies and I get
together every Friday night in winter,
usually rotate through each others places
each weekend, sit by the woodstove, drink
some beers, and BS about the last week's
happenings. Whether we agree or not, we
listen to what each other has to say, and if
we have to, we agree to disagree. Why can't
women be like that lol...

I use it as an insight into how people think...and vote. No need to agree or debate, but a real way to see how a segment (old, white, rural) views the world we live in. We wish the world was like the one we grew up in...but it isn't...But we keep voting to go back there.
