They are talking rain tonight

Things look pretty tough with only 1.3 inches of rain for the last 35 plus days. Last week was pretty tough and it was impossible to be upbeat but for this afternoon I can at least dream that it may rain. Even a half inch overnight would help.

Same here in Massachusetts. I'll take a tenth of an inch. Apples aren't sizing, pumpkins are lagging coming up, and I've got the drip going every other day on the veggies. Saw a few guys starting 2nd cut and it is light.

Been the other way for us, can't find 4 dry days to make any hay. Storms forecast again Wed, and a good chance on Saturday. Too wet to drive on a field anyhow, what parts are above water... Too much water gets old too. Getting late to replant the drowned out crop land as well.

We started out with a very dry winter, never had to put the snow blower on which is -very- rare here, got the corn planted in the dry and then the heavens have opened up here.....

Would that we could, we would exchange heat with anyone for some rain! The "experts" that predicted a wet summer for AZ for the last 3 years (didn't happen) are now saying that we'll have a hot, dry summer. So far they are right on the hot and dry!
