Might upgrade my bib overalls this coming weekend.

What is the best/your favorite brand bib overalls? Any still made in the USA?

Back in the day - what brand was the preferred around the farm.

Thanks!
Bill

Big Smith is what I wear. Seem to last well and still look like an overall should..lol!

My Dad was an Osh Kosh fan. All he ever wore. I don't know if they are even still a company or not. Just my 2 cents - Bob

I only wear Liberty. I like the zipper pocket. It's closes on the checkbook, pen, pencils, scratch paper, everything else I carry in my "lap top".

Used to always get "Big "B" Brotherhood",low backs. Haven't seen them in many years now. So I now buy "Big Bill" , Dairy stripe , zip front. I always but them a size big, as they seem to get smaller after a few times through the wash.
One time I bought about 8 pair of bibs from a discount store, for some thing like 10 bucks a pair. They were all denim , and the name on the bib was "USA". Wore like iron , never seen them for sale again, made in China. Bruce

Regardless of brand here's my procedure on new bibs. Wash them. Take them to my tailor. She hems them to fit and then sews a long narrow pocket on the inside front of both legs, covers the knee well. I then use some nice foam I get from the car upholstery shop for pads. The "pockets" are open for about three inches in the 5 inch top to allow pad to be removed for washing, or real hot summer day.

Hi guys,

It just so happens that Round House bibs are half price today only. And free shipping if you spend $75.

I just ordered 2 pair.

I wore Big Smith for many years and then they sort of disappeared now wear to Roundhouse or Dickey's Carpenter pants and Hickman Suspenders.

Big Smith here. I buy online.

One word of caution, if you're going to switch brands don't count on one size being the same from brand to brand.

Key are about all I wear, hate the hard ones. Igot a pair of Duluth for Xmas, after I found out how much they cost, I don't wear them much.

I respectfully disagree. Key imperial (like I'm wearing now) have a flap pocket on one side of the bib, and I think they wear longer. There is another version with a single pocket that I don't care for. I may be slightly spoiled, however. 😀

In somewhere about 1999 to 2000 Big Smith Brands Inc. sold a ten year license agreement for the workwear to I believe it was Walls then went bankrupt. Walls may have bought the rest at that time. At that time they were starting to have them made in Mexico. The original Big Smith overalls were made in Carthage, MO and if I remember right it was called Smith Brothers Mfg. at first. Like a lot of other things there isn't much of the original left. They may still be good overalls I haven't even looked at a pair in years so I don't know if they still use the same pattern or not.
