Bibs revisited

I 'm an over the road driver,5'9"",175-180lbs, slim build, no a$$ or waist. I usually wear jeans or cargo pants. I try to buy relaxed boot cut jeans, that I can' always find. The issue I have is that most pants ride up after any seat time and at the end of the day I talk with a high pitched voice and a sore crutch. Tried adjusting the air ride seat in many positions but nothing seams to work.
I wear a belt and with relaxed fit jeans and according to SWMBO'd,in that combo I look like a rapper who just crapped his pants, she doesn,t think suspenders would work( she doesn,t like them) , the next thought is bibs, in the summer I wear shorts with very little problem, as I rearange things easily.
I can see why a lot of drivers wear track pants, but its not a company option. I have the same issues with tractor seats. Any ideas, driving nude isn't an option, thanks.

Ask SWMBO, very nicely, to attach a arch strap to the cuff of the jeans. These should be 2" wide elastic (from the fabric store) that is just long enough to be loose when standing. Guaranteed. Jim

She twiches now because of me having no behind, that my cuffs drag the gound as it is, for ever at me to hike up my pants, but it might work in the truck.

I will not wear jeans period, especially sitting in car or airplane they cut my gut. I'll 5'11?, 185. They fall off my butt too. I don't want anyone to see my plumbers butt, even though I'm not a plumber.

Firehose bibs not cheap, but there is nothing better to wear to store your firehose in. I'm sold on these bibs that stretch and cooler in summer than Duluth regular bibs that are nice for winter and have a build in place for knee pads.

If your order is over $100 you get free shipping and many times they give you a 10-15% discount for orders over $100.

I have a new pair clean pair I wear to town and want to be buried in. Only come in one color, brown.

The upside to firehose bibs is I've yet to snag them on something and rib them. Can't say that about cheaper cotton bibs.

I'll never buy anything else again. They are carhart clones. Not sure if carhart even makes bibs that stretch.

I like Key bibbs. I buy them in Shipshewana, Ind at the Yoder mall clothing and boot store. Reasonably priced and just about any kind of work clothes you can think of.

Geo-TH, Duluth also makes shirts that are 3 inches longer to take care of plumbers butt. They are well made also.

Some years ago, someone made jeans that were designed for truckers. Can't remember the name. I wore them 'cause they fit, even though I'm not a trucker.

Don't know if they still make them or not. Maybe someone else remembers.

I remember the float driver we had at Case Power and Equip complaining about the company issued uniforms,he wanted pants like the motorcycle cops use to wear or the same as english tack breaks, that he never got.
When I started driving full time, I remember seeing jeans(and some pants) in the Union 76 truck stops(remember those ?) made for drivers.

Its nice to know I'm not the only one with that problem. Carhart and Full Blue jeans work the best for my physique. I try to get the seat cushion higher in the front than in the back when I drive long distances. You've probably already tried that. When I spent quite a few hours in a combine seat I had to take the front seat bolts loose so I could shim up the front of the seat much to the dismay of anyone else who ran that machine, especially the shorter guys. One summer in Idaho I was becoming very uncomfortable 'there' 24/7 from driving the combine but when the harvest was over and I spent three days in the truck seat hauling the combine home the problem was pretty much gone by the time I got home. The truck seat was tipped back for comfort where the combine seat was flat to enable the operator to look down in front of him. I even went to the doctor and he said he sees men come in with this problem when field work starts.

I have the same problem with getting the letter in the mailbox. The one thing that I do is un button the waste if I'm running a long day. Will say the bibs are the way to go.

Wear a kilt, problem solved.

Driving nude IS an option, but you need to wear some loose fitting bibs to keep it all legal. Key Imperial is my choice. I'd be lost without all those extra pockets also. Smart phone is easily accessible when carried in that breast pocket.
