kubota / deere emissions

I'm thinking about selling 3 or 4 older tractors, and buying newer used kubota / deere tractor. I want a simple tractor. no emissions or computer. can anyone tell me about what year computers and emissions were introduced on these tractors. thanks

What horsepower tractor are you wanting? You could get a lot newer small tractor with no emission or computer than say a 100 horsepower model.

2013/14. I believe they started phasing then in in 2014 as it was possible to find a tier 4 engine with no emissions above 30hp in 2014 but they were hard to find. That being said they may have been left over 2013 models, it made no difference to me I did not want the added garbage...

As a general said our new F-35 is a P.O.S. it will not start if the internet goes down... I think our tractors are headed in that direction... Our vehicles are already there as far as repairing them.

Don't be afraid of the unknown . I have 2 Kubota tractors bought new in 2014, now have near 600 hours on each . No problems so far , and I don't expect any .I will probably trade these tractors at 2500 hours, and I won't let the boggie man scare me then either.Bruce

3 cyl Deere 5E series were Tier II up to 2014.

Kubota M7040SU does not have DPF where the fancier M7060 does.

agree
I had the same experience as Hobo. Early 2014...it was very tough finding one without that exhaust gizmo and computer.
The newer model numbers were all tier 4 already, and the older model number runs were sold out. I got lucky with a dealer that was a friend, he had one (probably a leftover) in a crate in his warehouse. He said his phone was ringing constantly from other dealers trying to find one.
So, looking Kubota...I'd look 2013 and earlier.

Were you wanting to go as new as possible? For Deere, stay away from the 6x20 tractors and small frame 7x20 tractors. 5x20 and 5x25 are good tractors. Large frame 7x20 are good as well. The 30 series(2007-2012) are pretty good tractors, but some early 7x30 small frame tractors had some PowrQuad issues. Any letter series Deere(I.E-5085M 6105R, etc.) has too many emissions controls for my liking. Way too many electronics. They have dang computers to run the lights. Just completely nuts. Some later 30 series may also have a computer to run lights as well.

If you really want a bullet proof tractor, buy ANY Deere 10 series. Some of the best tractors ever built by any manf. They're old enough to not have anything in the way of emissions controls. They still use pencil injectors. The cabs are very nice. They have a lot of creature comforts while not being completely out of control on the electronics side of things.

On the Kubota side, you can't really go wrong with any of it. Anything up until tier 4A is likely OK. I'm a Kubota guy, but don't know a lot about the later stuff.

I have a ford 3930 and 580 case that I can do everything with. I'd like to replace 860 ford, 135 mf, and 8n with something a little newer and handier. maybe 30 - 35 horse with hst or so. thanks
