quick hitch adapter

I seen some pics where the adapter is on the QH and others its on the implements. Is there a correct way does it matter?

I'm not sure you are using the right terminology as a quick hitch is an adapter.

It depends where you are starting. If you have a generic skid steer and it throws craps and you want to buy a John Deere, then you'll want an adapter on the tractor to fit each of your existing implements, for example. What are you wanting to do?

I'm using a Speeco QH that has the hook, cutter/tiller has a really hard time fitting the hook on the QH. The adapter takes the place of the hook?? But seen some pics where the adapter was mounted on the implements instead of the QH

If you are set on using the quick hitch, modify your tools so the QH works on them. Otherwise the QH is not worth much. The QH I bought works on exactly one implement I have (the one I got with it), need to modify the others at some point when I have time.
