I was at a wedding yesterday. The tent was in a pasture with a gate to the county road. We had heavy rain all day and the road turned to soup. I sold the 140 to the owner about 30 years ago. ole red to the rescue!

If you look at old JD pics (1930s)- it"s not unusual for the tractor driver to be dressed in a suit, or at least shirt and tie. Maybe it"s to make the prospective purchaser of the tractor look more successful?

For that matter, any '30s tractor pics. I've seen some Picture of Henry Ford on one wearing a suit, logically, as he was a business man, but look at pictures of all the brands from the era. Now I think I'd be going crazy if I had to wear a suit, and then have to drive a tractor wearing one?!? LOL

I've got a picture somewhere of me in a suit (then-girlfriend's prom) next to my new-to-me Ford 7600. Nearly forgot to pick up the suit after the aution. Didn't actually drive it in the suit though.

LOL I put a cherry bomb I found on the side of the road on my uncle's H and it was the nicest sounding farmall around.

Last time I saw something like that, it was "Oliver Wendell Douglas" driving the "Hoyt Clagwell" on the television show, Green Acres!

One of my H's has an automotive glasspack muffler on it. I agree, it's the prettiest sounding H I've heard.
