another day, lets see. Here comes some green and yellow and the center picture is of a sight dear to me. It is the operators station of a LA Case. When I was seven Dad decided if I was going to be riding with him in the field every moment I could I might as well be doing something. So, he bought an LA case for me. He figured it would be safe enough sitting between those big fenders with a hand clutch, no turning brakes,"mine" didn't have them, this one does, no power steering and a seat much bigger than my butt. The sure safety platform under the seat let him teach me, kinda like a 2 seated airplane. I ran it for him for two summers, always in the same terrace land. I was at the height of my glory. The early spring of 1959 the dear old case dropped a valve(Dad was using it!) and ended up as a disabled trade in for a Massy-Ferguson 65. I have some dear memories on that old LA Case, one of which the darn thing would take a huge circle to turn in soft plowed ground. It's drawbar didn't swing as far as on Dad's M Farmall so turning with a 12 foot spring tooth made for some planning ahead.

Won't bore you with more of my memories and stories.

Spent many hours on a 49 LA pulling a big wheeled dirt pan building my fish pond. It was a very strong tractor. Also pulled a big disc with it.
I bet you felt on top of the world sitting on that beast.

Thank you so much for posting this!!! I also learned on an LA and spent a lot of great hours on that platform with my Dad. When I bought my VAI I was looking for an LA but couldn't find one near me so settled for the VAI. At least it smells the same as the old LA when it warms up, but it doesn't sound the same. That big old LA engine was sure something to listen to.
