reman cummins engines

Were would a person start to look for a remaned 5.9L cummins for a freightliner truck 2001 FL70. I am in northwest Ohio. Would a complete engine or long block be better.
 
Blackwater engines in Va Beach VA. Half price of a dealer. Good warranty. Getting ready to get an 8.3 for a fl 70 soon.They will ship it right to you and pick up the core.
 
Don't know about the place named below, but in the past the dealership has been competitive with everyone else I called.
 

Years ago I priced a reman kit for a 400 Cummins and got the best deal at a Freightliner dealer. They didn't have it in stock but said I could take the receipt to Cummins and pick it up.
I asked the guy at Cummins about the price difference and he said that Cummins has a agreement with dealers that they wont under price the dealers. The dealers can mark down Cummins parts but Cummins can not.

I've never owned a Freightliner but always got the best price on Cummins parts from them.

As for reman engines, there's lots of company's out there selling remans. Buy from one that has a good reputation on the quality of their work and how well they stand behind their warranty.
