What's your favorite bibs?

My boy got me a pair of flex bibs for my birthday. I like them so much I bought another pair. I also have many pairs of the heaver bibs but they are too hot for summer use. The neat part about the heavier bibs is they have pockets to slide in knee pads and they feel great on my old knees.

Perhaps I need to drop a hint, Father's day is coming soon.
DULUTH TRADING

When I was 7 or 8 yrs old mom bought me pair, I wore them once to a friend's house across the street where I was laughed at. At age 69 I have never had another pair on. Dad pretty much wore them all the time. Not to steal your post but do you remember brogan boots? About age 15 this city boy wanted a pair of hunting boot, you know the kind Field & Stream advertised. Dad carried down to the P N Hirsh department store. Expecting hunting boots I was informed that black Brogans was what I was going to get and nothing else. Getting home I placed them under the bed and never wore them. DULUTH TRADING does have nice looking clothing.

Key aren't so consistent anymore. I wear them all spring, fall, and winter. I can't stand them in summer as they make me overheat. Key is what is sold locally so that's what I wear.

I'm as likely to be seen wearing a skirt and high heels as a pair of bib overalls. Yes, my dad wore them, but he was fifty pounds overweight.

I don't know if they're Amish made or not. There is a department store in a little mall south of the downtown area across from the flea market grounds named "Yoders" that have an excellent selection of work and cold weather clothes and a large boot and shoe dept. The wife likes to look at their material dept. Across the aisle from them is a real interesting hardware store catering to the Amish. They have stuff you can't find anywhere else, old fashioned stuff. Then further south is E & S sales, a really cool bulk food store that has all the restored petal tractors, cars and other neat stuff arranged up overhead to look at. Great prices here. The other place to look at is Eash sales, next door to E & S sales, a lot of stuff used by the Amish like gas powered freezers, refrigerators, indoor clothes dryers and much more. Plan on spending at least 1/2 a day...

I 2nd the Roundhouse bibbs. A few years ago I ordered 3 pairs after someone on here recommended them. I also ordered 3 pairs of Carhart bibs. I believe this was 7-8 years ago. I only wear them in the winter but the Carharts were worn out after 2 winters. The Roundhouse are still going strong. The only complaint is the galluses are a little short for me.

I bought a couple pair of Duluth Fire hose pants a few years ago. They are still in the closet virtually brand new. In my opinion, way over priced for what you get. Tried giving them to the boys, but they won't wear them either. Give me a $10 pair of Walmart jeans any day.

I have been wearing Dickies. I like the high back as the straps stay in place and not down on my arm when pulling wrenches. The later Dickies are a relaxed fit and the size that I order 2 men my size can fit in them.

Charllie, I wear Big Smith's all the time. I miss the buttons too.
Does it seem to you that the material gets to be lighter weight
and cheaper all the time? gm

I wear Key and have had good luck with them. I cannot wear them in the summer...too hot. I go to shorts in the summer.
The Key Bibs wear well. Never had the Carhartt bibs, but my guess would be they are good. I have also heard good things about Round House too.

In the area that Im in key is the brand to buy. Im not a fan of carhart or dickie as in bigger sizes they don't run true to size, they run small. I also think Dickies galluses are to short. There also don't seem to be enough room where a man wants to have some free movement. Do wish I could get liberty as I like the zipper across the bib. There is room for a check book and a cell phone. That is not available most other pair. Have seen Round house advertised on ebay but hadn't heard of anyone wearing them enough to make an opinion as to how good they are. I wear bibs cause I have no butt. Cant keep pants up even with a belt. Not everyone wants to see a 300lb mans pants fall down while he is working. Always have at least 5 pair in closet. One pair only gets used if there is a failure of one of the others. That pair gets replaced asap. Made warden promise to put me in a new pair of bibs when I lay down for my eternal sleep. In the summer time I cut the legs off at the knee and hem them when I am doing any work. If I am going out somewhere I just suffer through it and always try to raise a leg so a breeze can blow up my pant leg. LOL

I wear the Key brown duck bibs in the winter, they are heavier and dual cloth at the knees. . Blue in the summer

What size? If they are 42x30 I may be interested. I love Duluth fire hose and so does my boy. Yet to rip one like I do the cheapies cotton bibs I get elsewhere.

I had been wearing Keys, but then old popper got me convinced to try Round House and been wearing them ever since. I like the low back for the summer, doesn't make me as hot. And yes they are made in the good old USA.

I had to give up bibs after a neck surgery in 08. Can't tolerate any weight on my shoulders. For awhile even an ink pen in my pocket was too much. Anyway, a couple of years ago I tried on one of my old bibs and I was too fat for them!!! Imagine that!
