MF 85

I recently purchased MF 85 Diesel. The tractor starts and runs fine. After several minutes the engine gains rpm then slow and quits. Any ideas out there??

First check the fuel supply, is the flow AT the pump inlet OK, or restricted? If flow is good the injection pump may need repair if the weight retainer ring is breaking apart, that can cause the same trouble too. Repair a lot for this problem.

Thanks for the info. I have found a Injector pump here locally from a Tractor salvage yard.
