Up by my parents there is a big brush fire going on. Apparently over 200 acres burned. There was another one yesterday that was a couple miles away that was put out pretty easily
but consumed 40 acres. Western PA doesn't get many fires so this is making all the news stations. Its up on a mountain so no truck can get to it. They are asking locals with atvs to
come up and help contain it. No houses are in danger. In my opinion they ought to let it burn and start the forest over. With all the ash that have died they need to be recycled
anyway. If we ever get the property below us I plan to put a match to it and burn it off. The healthy trees will stand and then we can start to combat the invasive species that have
taken over. I know fires are scary but they can do a lot of good for the health of the forest.
