Anybody know anything about new JDparts program

Has anybody checked out the new program/ feature or whatever you want to call it? JDparts adviser, apparently run by Snap On. Basically what the heck is it and what does it do, before I tangle with the software to run it.

I played with it on line a bit the other night, wasn't impressed. I thought the one they had worked good

I have TRIED to use it several times now. It is no where near as good as what they had. Another DUMB idea from the latest STUPID JD management. I hope they will leave the old system operating for a long while. They think that they can merge the service advisor system into the parts system. It will make you have to call for every unusual part you need.

Is it something available to the public? JD parts dept uses Parts Manager Pro which is made by Snap On. The current public JD parts system sucks compared to PM Pro, so I can't imagine this new system is horrible, but leave it to JD to screw up something that they already had figured out.

I didn't like it the other day opted out and went with the older system more to my palate. Somehow or nother I think they will keep the new system if nothing else to make me more dependent on my dealer who only has one good counter person.

I think, if the truth be known, that StrapOn was already doing the old jdparts programs, and GM's parts stuff as well, and for some auto parts chains, as well, NOT sure about Dorf and Goat.

I think they bought out what was left of Bell and Howell (imaging) at the end of the microfiche days.

Would like to hear more info/opinions on this.

HOPEFULLY they don't make it as stupid and free of the ability to do a lot of useful searches like the FIAT and AGCO parts sites.
