8N tractor lever

picked up an old 8N. got it running and figured out most things except the small lever on the right just under the seat. can someone tell me what it is for? Thanks Guy

It is for implement hitch "draft control".

"UP" for most applications with the exception of heavy ground-engaging operations like moldboard plowing.

As Bob said, Position Control Lever.
In position control the 3 pt stays where you put it.
In Draft mode the draft of the ground engaging equipment controls the height.
