I brought home two tractors, that I had in outside storage, and sure enough, they both had water in the oil pans. I had hoped that the 5 gallon buckets, that were over the mufflers, would have protected them. Of course, I had started them up , to load them, and mixed the water with the oil. I am talking about an Allis B , and an Allis CA, and due to the way the mufflers fit into the manifolds, The rain runs down into the manifolds, thru the valves, pistons, ect, and into the pan. I usually have to change oil, at least once a year, in all 4 engines, that I have, cause I will screw up, and leave one out in the rain. I grabbed 5 gallon of oil out of the shop, and found that I didn't have any oil filters on hand, so off to the new TSC I went. I asked for the wix 7011 filters, and they were so new (been in business 60 days), that they had not stocked anything but Fram, and didn't have a Fram substitute. They did agree to try and stock my filters. I then went to NAPA, and they had one filter and it was a NAPA GOLD, and they wanted $13.98 for it. TSC wanted around $7.00 for theirs, when they get them stocked, so this agrevated me, and I told James, the manager so. I have been NAPA's coustomer for 15 years, and was getting too confortable with them, and should have kept my mouth shut! I left and went to Auto Zone, and they don't even have a book that shows Allis. Left there and went to O Riley's and they had two filters, which I ended up buying, at $17.99 each. No more store choices in Yelm, and was too embarresed, to go back to NAPA. I know that my friend OLD, thinks O Rileys, is a good deal, but I, sure ain't going to buy anymore oil filters from them. Now I am going to have TSC, order a case of them, to put on the shelf in the shop.
