Had some time today so I stopped at the Jerry Mez museum in Avoca Ia. What a place! Even tho I'm a Case guy I spent a couple hours here. If your ever close by its really worth the time to stop.

In the next to last picture, the McCormick on the left... 4 wheel drive?

Was that stock? About what year would that be? Didn't think they thought of that back then!

Those are just traction tires on that one. He does have several farmal with aftermarket assists tho, one SM and some others.

Beautiful collection!!!!!

I grieve every-time I see those restored IH tractors or brochures and bling.

Video link below ain't mine - but IMHO it ought to be in the Smithsonian.

Never owned an IH farm tractor, got several IH Cub Cadets and my first "car" was a 1970 IH Scout 800A with 4 speed and 196 cu-in engine. Glad I was able to own an IH - when they were still complete and still IH.

Crying shame the fate of IH.....

Thanks for taking the time to post the photos. I like to look at tractor collections like that no matter what color they are.

I believe those were modified or special units in some way. They mostly had chrome exhausts or straight pipes or other things that made me think they were not factory.

Being the IH lover that I am, My wife and I visited the museum back in 2009. Wife took a picture of me on the seat of the 4300 that was there, after I asked if I could sit on it. I could spend all day in that place.

After seeing your pics I'll have to make the effort to stop there. Been by there many times on the way to Council Bluffs for Dr appt a but I've never stopped. I get off of I80 there and head north on 59 or vise versa.
