I'm currently looking at another 930 case. This tractor is bored out, with the injector redone and turbocharged, has a hand clutch .. Was used as a pulling tractor. In excellent shape. Any thoughts? Could I still use it as a field tractor ?
Cheers, Alex

Good tractor! Wheatland tractor more suited to field work. Not very nimble but engine and tranny are pretty bulletproof. I have a few of the 64 Western Special models......

not sure exactly which style you have been looking at ,,. A hand clutcher 930 is on my wish list if I ever get caught up on all my problem tractors here,.i like primitive ruggedness of the early 900 -930 ,.. last spring in Liberty Ky ,Case Expo ,I saw a very nice 930 comfort king hand clutcher I think 1967 build yr ,and it was chain drive, very rare ,. very cool how the clutch was positioned beside the left lower leg,,golly ,I would love trying my skills at backing a wagon with that lady, playing the clutch,, if I ever ran across one of those ,priced rite.. I would buy it . also saw and sat on a beautiful 730 orchard,.. and witnessed a wicked 930 diesel mated to a 830 rearend doing gravel throws,.. if any of you guys are here that I spoke with there , please identify yourselves to me , thanx Jim

It's a 63' wheatland, chain drive rear end with elephant ear rear fenders. Thanks everyone for the advice! I'm going to inquire today about it!
