I posted before about a tractor I have a chance to buy.It hasn't run for approx. 6 years.Other than changing fuel and filters, prelubing oil system, what should be done.I've heard some posts about breaking some part in the injection pump after sitting so long.I appreciate any comments.

What tractor? I'd say you've done all you can.Hook a battery to it and crank it over. After only 6 years, the likelyhood of damage is pretty small. 30 years or longer,I'd worry some......But still try it.

I was always told to turn the engine over by hand first if it has set for a while, if the pump has stuck slightly pulling it or cranking it with starter could twist off the pump shaft.

I think that applies mainly to the Oliver Fleetline and Super tractors.
I will warn you though,if you change those filters, have the tractor sitting someplace where you can tow it to start it. Once you let air in to that system, they're probably the worst tractor ever to bleed. Open all the bleeders and get out all the air you can, then crack the lines at the injectors, but I'd give it a 25% chance at best that you'll start it with the starter. I had a slug in the shut off on mine that caused it to starve out for fuel twice, then I ran it out twice. We had to tow it three of those four times.
