OVER THE TOP ORGANIC

I Just saw an add on CL for some organic wood shavings. Some how I don't get it. Is there something such as non-organic shavings that others know about? If you need to buy some look on the Watertown, NY CL. The price is only $3.98 for a 2.8 cubic foot bag.

Some shavings companies use construction waste that could have some pretty nasty stuff in it like paint, glue, and other chemicals - stuff you wouldn't want your animals eating. The ones selling organic shavings use only virgin wood in their products.

Dime Shadow
Razor inlay at the 12th
Near mint condition/well maintained, sweet low action. Whammy stays in tune beautifully...trust me
Set neck

It absolutely screams, but still very cool and (organic} with clean settings.
$350

Not really sure if I should let it go...but I'd trade for a sweet Ibanez RG 4??-5?? (Yea, got to have a whammy)

If it works for "green", "green", "green", can hardly fault anyone for as someone else said below, "marketing". Truth be told, it's probably technically true if came from trees that were only fed rain water and soil and these guys capitalized off of what the rest of us overlooked.

Your probably on track I worked in a
factory that sent out semi loads of new
clothing to be shredded and that probably
ended by somewhere as recycled cotton now
the buttons and zippers were probably
included. Maybe that's what the add mean
that it was fresh natural wood chips not
recycled

(quoted from post at 09:07:38 02/07/16) "Organic" has became a marketing label and not much else. People are stupid enough to be believe its better for them when the fact is in most cases its the same product that's in the non organic packages. Pollen from non organic crops drifts for miles and mixes with organic crops. Plain and simple no way to prevent it. My FIL raises organic crops in MI. He raises organic seed corn as well as regular no 2 organic corn. Another farm about a mile and a half away raises blue corn. My FIL has blue kernels of corn in his corn. Its a major problem with the seed corn as the company has had to install optic sorters at high cost. But it proves that his seed corn is also crossbred with non-organic GMO corn from other neighbors. My theory of the organic scam is much more evil. I think the leftists pushing organics know if the US was forced into organic production we would not be able to feed ourselves because of the resulting marginal yields. It would create mass starvation issues and allow certain people to step it and declare themselves dictator resulting in the end of the free USA we know. Hungry people provide less resistance. Look at history the first things communists have done is starve the people and kill off most of the population. Food for thought.

Scott,

I think you've overthought this. 40% of food is flat wasted in this country. I used to haul conventional sweet corn from the field to a processor. We'd start picking a field, get half done, and leave the rest. There were always dumpsters full of already processed cans going out to be dumped whenever I went into the plant. I also used to run a spray rig, and I sprayed sevearl fields of green beans and peas that were never picked, or half picked.

There's more than enough room for organic production. Average conventional corn yield around me is 156 bu/a. I personally know organic growers matching that average yield. I do also know conventional growers that at least claim to blow that yield out of the water. One guy I talked to claimed he was doing 300 bu/a. When pressed, he admitted that was one spot in one field. What's that got them? $3 a bushel? At least with organics you don't have to become a BTO and live off govt subsidies to stay in business.

Think back to your chemistry classes, organic just means it contains carbon atoms. That means ALL food, wood, whatever is ORGANIC. Kind of like the nitrogen filled tires scam. They look at you funny when you tell them "I'll just take the 78% nitrogen" (plain old air).
