Allis-Chalmers serial number 121879B

I have what I think is a Allis-Chalmers model C. I recorded the serial number off the top of the transmission by shift lever and it reads: 121879B. Is this number a model B or C, and what year?

Look to the left side of this page. Under 'Research & Info" you will find list of serial numbers.

Looks like a 1952 B as the tractor model was designated in the serial number. It may have C parts on it to make it look like a C as parts interchange. A B typically had an arched front end and flat rear wheel centers, but and adjustable wide front was available as well as dished rear wheel centers.
