This old GMC is a couple of miles from my place. Should have gotten a shot of it in the snow but it is kinda the other way. You can see how the factory extends the body. Sort of looks like the wheel base is too short.

Slope of windshield says '64 or newer. I want a short '52 1/2 ton model. I have 2 pickups, 1 original, 1 street rodded. I have an HHR for a daily driver

1964, look at the hub caps. I sure would like to have those to go on mine. My dad bought my (his) new in '64 same color & V6. It's a driver today, the bad part, it thinks gas is 25 cents a gallon.

We worked on one that the roof rusted loose on, the owner put a long threaded rod through the cab to keep the roof on and windshield in.

the 305? They had a distinct sound; We could tell Jim Murray's truck was coming before he rounded the bend.

That grille design was used by GMC from 1962-1966 with very little change. That door design was used back in 1961. They started using the dual headlights back in 1958.

That would be a year 64, 65 or 66. Prior to 64 model year had the wrap around windshield and with that the door was a different shape. 67 started a completely new body design. In addition to the 305 cid V6 engine they also used a 351 cid V6. It is like a tractor, can start from a stop in third gear without slipping the clutch. I still have my father's but rust has got the best of it now. No hope to repair but I do have a Chevy from Arizona with same basic body although different trim.
