Looking at the post below I thought those FC jeeps look like a lot of fun. Has anyone here ever owned one or worked with one? What did you think? Was it under powered? Tractable? It sure would make a freaky little shoeing rig.

Neighbor had one that just sat around with a lot of other vehicles, so never got to ride in one. I think most Jeeps of the time were underpowered.

"Forward Control FC 170." I remember being really impressed by the ads as a young fellow, but I have never even ridden in one.

Good trucks. There were several in the town I grew up in. I just missed a DWR FC170. Great farm trucks. Underpowered? Ehhhh. They weren't intended to tow a trailer load of cars down the interstate at 75 mph. For crawling around in the woods and fields, plowing snow, hauling feed/wood/etc. they were fine.

We have a 1946 AG CJ-2A. Neighbor puts on a jeep tour every year. Had 30 flat fenders this year and 5 of the Ag Jeeps. Nethrop, CO. Last full week of Sept.

I think my uncle had one. He had a service station and used it with a blade to do driveway cleaning.

Had an uncle the plowed a field for using his AG Jeep. Only about 15 acres but it worked well. I wish I had one then and now.
Is that a pressure release tube in the picture or ?

(quoted from post at 14:31:03 01/15/16) Military Jeep collector's answer to questions of top speed was that he treated a 35 mph sign as a challenge.

That's a good one. Driving this car sometimes people occasionally ask how many miles per gallon we get. We dont care, we measure it in SMILES per gallon
