Farmall C loader bucket size

Saw this on CL. Seems a bit big to me. What do you think?

We had a new 53 Super C, the first loader I think was IH but made out of pipes, didn't take long to bust all the welds on that...second loader was like the one pictured and held up good, original bucket mounted inside the arms so the one pictured is like 3 times bigger.

Should be fine for snow, but that's about it. Never handle dirt, manure, etc with a bucket that big. Guessing it was used for snow as the rear
tires have chains on.

that is a C32 loader with a owner installed snow bucket mounted on it. the regular bucket would be a manure bucket with a slip on pan to scoop dirt with, for snow there is a blade that can be bolted on in place of the bucket that could be angled.

That bucket would be fine for dirt. That C won't have enough HP or traction to push the
bucket into the dirt.

A bucket like that is a little bit to large for tractor that size and even for snow. That's a heavy bucket to begin with and no counter weight. I have a 4 foot bucket on my Farmall B with counter weight and a bucket of dirt on this loader is all you want for spindles and bearings of that front end. I could use a larger bucket for snow but it would have to be made of aluminum.

Hi, some years ago there was a small backyard
saw mill near Maple Ridge BC . They had a tractor
with huge bucket on the loader for moving
sawdust. This may be for similar circumstances.
