What do you like, what do you not like? For me Remington was always a disaster one way or another!!! Uniroyl continental, Dunlop, Cooper, Yokohma, General, always had good luck with. Seems like now there is a bunch of brands I never herd of some are cheap. wondering what your take was????

I got Yokahoma, Hankooks and Kumho on my trucks now. The Yokahomas have the most miles on them. I used to always try to buy Cooper but they got hard to find. I've had pretty good luck with nearly any brand as long as I buy 10 ply rated or more. The worst tires that I've had were Goodyear and Michelin. I'm pretty easy to please as long as they are black, round and full of air.

At work we have a van with Michelins on it and F150 with Hancooks on it and recently both have one tire blow the side wall out. Both sets of tires are only 2 years old, neither vehicle carries a big load at anytime. Seem to have very thin side walls. On my personal vehicles I have been running Good Years Wranglers, they a tuff tire but not much on tread wear. I am thinking about the Yokohamas for my next purchase. Have heard good tjings about them. Also ran them on a small steeet bike I had years ago and they held up good on it.

Bfg all terrains on my good truck since I've owned it and love them other than they are rock slingers but you'll have that with 35's run mastercraft on the farm trucks. Either at or mt they have seemed to be really good tires as well

Had 2 sets of Michelin and one set of Coopers that I hated, Coopers were junk from day one and the Michelins seemed like nice tires but the sidewalls developed a million cracks within a couple years that I didn't trust. No complaints with Goodyear/ Firestone.

I have 81k on 70k michlens on truck, 2007 tires. No cracks and good for another 9k. Boys at tire barn said michlen changed ownership a few years and they won't stand behind their tires. They recommend yokohoma. They said some of the tires are imported, but most made in USA. $800 for michlens and $600 for yokohoma. Tire barn also said if I don't like the yokohoma they will take them back in 500 miles. So my next tire will be yokohoma.

I have always had good performance from Bridgestone tires, GM spec Firestone tires, and Cooper tires. I will be replacing my Cooper HTPs this spring. They were rated at 60K miles and have almost 57K on them now. They are good for another 7-8K miles. One slow leak flat that I repaired with a plug about a year ago. These tires ride well, cornered and handled well too. Worst tires I have ever owned were Goodyear. I will replace my Cooper HTPs with Cooper AT/3s, just like what's on my wife's Yukon.

You can order Cooper tires from Discount Tire Direct. Wal-Mart auto dept will (usually) mount and balance them for a fair fee.

I've had/have two '99 Suburbans both hauled my 18' implement trailer with 4000 lb tractor etc, and 2006 GMC Sierra 1500, all with Coopers and am very happy and will continue . Made here and middle road price, wear good, no noise and grip good. Have had zero problems. Like others have said, if you're "trucking" get E rated. Don't put passenger rated tires on and badmouth them when they don't last. Mine have all been passenger rated but still occasionally haul trailer/camper. Have not had good luck with other brands. Won't pay price for Michelins as not convinced it's a better value per $$. Cooper also makes a "D" rated for occasional loads if wanted. Lot cheaper than E and very little more than P.

i have run Yokohamas and kumhos on my trucks and both are good, the kumhos were on the steer axle of my kenworth when it got broke in half , and i took them off and put them on the new kenworth and they lasted until i sold the truck 4 years later cant ask for more than that, on my little 1 tons and trailers i buy whatever the local western auto store owner can get me for a good price, he is a buddy, and here at the farm i have over 60 tires on the ground counting anything larger than a garden tractor and i usually run something into them and ruin them before i get the tread worn off,

I've always liked Khumo tires. For the price they've always been good to me. Bought a set of Hankooks for the wife's minivan thinking they'd be the last one's it would get from me because they were rated at 80K miles and the van had 130K miles on it. Had to pull them at 39K miles because they were dangerous due to lack of tread - not even half their rated life on 100% paved roads.

Well i started the Mastercraft use thing as i needed tires about this time of year way back and was looking for and inexpensive tire for my plow truck . I went to this guy i had heard about that would beat anybodys prices . I was looking for a 12-16.5 with good bit . Jimmy talked me into my first set of radials in a 12 -33-16.5 and sold them to me for less then others priced me a rag tire. They were a mastercraft , they wore like iron outlasted others three times over . The War Dept's Durango is on her third year and she puts on around 500-700 miles a week on it . Just put 6 new Master crafts on my service truck about a month ago and just got home from his place putting new tires on my daughters cars. They are both home for the holidays and they both needed tires . Oldest daughter works for a mega car dealership and she could not even get the deal as good as i get . Old saying drive a little , save a LOT.
My tires that i put on my truck were 235-85-16 E rate Mastercraft with a decent on off road tread and my price was 109 out the door mounted and ballanced . The girls tires were 87 on one and 97 on the other. J9immy now puts tires on all of my friends cars, trucks and tractors. Oh yea i forgot about the new 18.4x34 Firestone radials on the 806 this year. Saved close to 700 bucks on them .

Always liked Michelin, buy them when I can afford them.

Bought a new '11 Honda CRV, came with factory Maypops. Horrible tires, noisy, ringing sound over every seam in the road, constantly had the low pressure light on, worn out at 30,000. Put a set of Michelins on, smooth, quiet, very seldom have to add air.

Put a set of Michelins on my '01 Silverado, same story, much quieter, stable ride and held air very well!

Put some cheap 40,000 mile Douglas tires from Wal-mart on the Plymouth voyager.....did it myself, no balance, got 51000 on them now and the wear bars aren't showing. Should have rotated them as the front are wore worse than the rear....but still will make another 9000 miles. Douglas tires.....made in the USA. Oh, speed limit is 80 mph here in SD, no vibration.

B F Goodrich.. got over 100,000 miles on each set on a 3/4 2005 pickup. I just put on my 3rd set at 344000

Best tires I ever had were Hercules Terra Tracs. Worst have been any of the Goodrich, Continental or Coopers. All wore out within 25K miles, sometimes far less, and wear is my criteria for a good or bad tire.

No matter what tire brand I buy I seem to get no tire life...I put 6 new Geo-Trac 40,000 mile tires on a Ford dually and at 12,000 miles they are about gone....I put some 40,000 mile Douglas tires on a Buick Regal and barely got 20,000 miles..I tried some 60,000 mile Coopers on the Regal and got 25,000 miles plus had 6 flats....My tire dealers answer is I drive too many gravel roads..

When we buy a new vehicle we always get around 50,000 miles out of the tires..We traded off a 2011 Equinox with 43,000 miles and the tires still had 10,000-15,000 miles wear left on them..

I have used a lot of different tire brands over the years ( cheap and expensive )with good results. Most but not all tire failure is a results of poorly maintained tires ( tire pressure, aliment, never rotated, to heavy load for tire rating, and a lot of the poor tire wear is because of poor driving habits ).

We have done the "proper maintenance" thing numerous times. Alignments, balancing, rotations, more alignments and balancing and rotations and of course checking the tire pressure every 3.7 seconds. I think it's the winding, hilly roads we have.

Always run Toyo on my personal vehicles. Have had really decent luck with them.

On my Western Star, I like Michelin steer tires, drive tires are okay but pricey. Trying a set of goodyears on the drives now. Have Dunlops on my steer axle now, but never again. Not lasting long at all.

My Subaru came with Yokahama Geolanders on it, got 154,000 miles from them (yes, really). They were like driving on rounded bricks but you can't argue with the life. Went back to Yokahama but a different style, better ride and quieter. My truck has Geolanders on it, don't know what mileage they have since it was a used truck. I've had it 4 yrs and it will need tires early next year. No issue with them at all.

Were those bias ply? Never heard of a radial that bad.
