I've gotta give you credit, you find the most ragged out, beat up,half missing items I've ever seen. lol

Nick: A little FYI for you. We had an engineer at Dana that had one of those. He wanted us to overhaul it. There were 2 different L head six cylinder Ford engines, parts for the one were hard to find 20 years ago. You better do some careful checking before buy something that may get very involved. Questions.

I feel certain you have seen something of value in them. The most complete one blends into the gravel it sits on real well. Jim

Your going to have to shove a hundred dollar bill down each carb. just to get a junk yard to take them.

Has that first one been under water for the past several years? I can relate to your good intentions, but I fear that if you start putting money into that it won't take very long before you're also underwater.

Everybody is looking at only value of a normal 8N in that condition. What you all are missing is the value of all the adapter parts for the Funk engine conversion. The engine to tramsmission adapter, the hood to dash adapter, the front egine custom made mount, the extended drag links and extended even tho bent wishbone. For someone looking to put an engine in tractor he already has along with a engine he has he would be looking at $1,500 for just those Funk made parts. Also the extra long steering shaft to get steering wheel above the raised hood. Forget the rest of thost tractors and just think about those Fumk parts and how hard they would be to find.

Well I found a better investment for me a running driving 8n for about 800 I'm going to pass on these that 8n I found just seems like a better place to put my money

Whew!! You had us a bit worried there. Welcome back from the edge. If you want a Funk, There are better starting points. Or work those down to the scrap price they deserve, and build one, but getting the money back out is not likely. Jim

You got that right! I would have offered $200, MAYBE gone up to $300, and then parted them out as is... Or tired to sell them both and all the parts for $700 or something. Come to think of it, I think I would have probably just avoided them in the first place! :p

There are some good parts to build a FUNK 6cylinder but I don't see the cast oil pan on either tractor. I do see one dash to hood panel, 2 engine to bell housing adaptors and the 2 flathead motors all hard to find FUNK parts.

I think that some used a frame from bell house adapter to special front axle mount and engine did not constitute frame as with cast Iron crankcase.

If it were me, I would pass. I have $4,500 in this one and it came with all the parts and tires and ran real well. I see some important, expensive missing parts.
