Any of you guys here in Michigan,if you come across and Oliver 1550-55,1600-50 cheap, keep me in mind and let me know would you? I'd prefer a gas. I don't care about the tires or sheet metal,I've just got a project in mind. If you see one sitting along the road or know of one rotting away, post back if you would.

Never been a Oliver man, but if I find a nice 1650 I might buy it for the wife. Her family had one on the farm she was raised on. She raked and baled all the hay with it and hauled the manure to.

Come on. Spill the beans. What kind of project you got in mind??

Not in Mi., across the river where your US $ goes 25% further right now. Neighbour has a 1650 gas that he hasn't used for a bit, I can have an eye for more if you like. How about a 1350?

Check with Baders in Big Rapids. The Deere dealer. They've got a nice 1650 wide front gasser advertised for $4200. That's more than I want to give for what I have in mind.

I've got a lot of parts around here. With everybody trying to make everything look like a big muscle tractor with the big tires and chrome stack,me being the contrarian that I am,I want to go the other way. I want to build one in to the meekest looking stripped down version I can make. I've got a narrow front here for one. I want to put that under it with 5.50 or 6.00 16 tires,13.6 38 rears, clamshell fenders,a small muffler, just anything I can find to make it look like some cheap Swede like myself ordered the most inexpensive tractor he could find.

Sounds like a pretty good deal, but I'd have to get a passport to come over there unless somebody wanted to bring it across the Blue Water Bridge and meet me outside Port Huron.

Saw an M Farmall here in eastern Iowa years ago with JD Green paint and big letters 4020!

I should have kept the 1020 Deere that I was going to paint Oliver green and clover white and put Oliver decals on. I even had the serial tags for the engine and tractor for that project, but I traded it for a rare Oliver before I got around to it. That one was going to be direct retaliation for the Oliver Super 55s that I've seen with Deere green paint and yellow wheels.

I think I saw one listed on the Daily Auction, Colo, iowa with a bad motor. pictures on bidspotter.com gobble

I saw one on Craigslist a few days ago, but I can't find it now.
I'll keep it in mind though, going to an auction tomorrow.
Nothing of that type on the bill though.

This is no where near what you're looking for, but did you
see this one? Oliver in Eagle

Royse, so not to possibly
cause you any further
competition, I'll word it
this way: Are you going to
the auction with the Jubilee
and some Farmall tractors
tomorrow? That's the one my
dad is going to, not for the
Ford, but for the IH stuff.
Although he somehow ended up
with a Jubilee that he
doesn't use a few years back.
I also wanted to tell you I
brought that 8n, 9n, whatever
it is, home last weekend, and
I'll give you a call
beginning of next week. What
is the best time to not
interrupt you in the evening?

Ross

I'm not sure which one you mean Ross, this one's down in Milan.
I doubt I'll buy much, I'm going after parts that a fellow YT
member is selling. He had already committed them to the auction.

I'm usually home by 5, so any time from 5 to 10-ish works.

I have thought of that as well. I want a stripped down 3020 Deere no fenders or rockshaft, the dash mounted headlights and the two-cylinder style seat assembly. I have also thought about an AC 190 gas narrow front with snap coupler hitch as that would be odd ball as you could get. Tom
