ot ,, bad luck spirel

First off I want to thank all the offers for help with my Suburban broke down. Means alot . Well, called shop this morning. Turns out it was broken tee fitting in heater hose for rear heat. They had it all fixed and not bad price. Shout out to Big E's auto .Bailed out of work early made the trip to Galesburg. Just got on 74 headed home, five miles on the road. BAM airbags went off! Hit a deer dead center. Didn't even see it . Every one is okay , thoses thing are loud and stinky when they deploy . HPD filled out crash report, Wrecker picked truck up and hauled it to their lot. Buddy and I are headed down in the morning to retrieve it. Pretty sure it's totaled. Damn shame 1999 out of Oklahoma, not a bit of rust on it . I think I will buy a lottery ticket

"If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all".(Hee Haw) I'd call it good luck since you are all OK.

Yeah buy a dozen tickets for your friends, you got out of the cooling system problem about as cheap as possible, and center punched a deer with no injuries, WOW.

Out of the bunch 5.7 chebbys normally fair well when overheated. New hoses and heater valve is in your future, Of course you knew that  Its a call out to other chebby owners that have a GM with rear heat to replace the hoses I prefer Original $GM$ hoses they fit and last...

It must be going around . In the past six weeks here . The engine failed in my old beater Astro AWD . My daughter wrote off the Terrain AWD SUV on a deer. The old truck had a total electrical failure due to grounding/chassis return problems and the airbag light won't reset. Bought a new truck. Had a battery go "boom" while cranking the JD 1640. And the brand new heat trace cable on the shed water pipes is stone cold .

Thats the way I see it too . But guess they run it threes, just looked in basement and water heater is leaking all over. Nother project to the list .

Just glad things are no worse for you.End of September was in wreck, car came out a hidden side road at 50mph and hit left front corner of my truck and spinning me around into a large power pole. The air bags went off but no sound and no smell. Never felt them when they went off. Just for a moment everything was grey till they went down. I sure hope that saying bad luck comes in threese holds as in last 5 monthe I was in 3 unavoiadable wrecks, none of what was my falt first was also same conditions except it just dammaged the trailer I was pulling, did not hurt the load. last one just this past thursday when two semis collided in dark and I was too close to miss them. Only hit the one, got stopped before hit the third and second was already off the road in field. But in between tire from second semi hit a jeep following the first semi. Last one air bags did not go off but busted windshield, a big grove down top and left side doors wiped out.

At least the worked. My granddaughter's boyfriend and a couple of his friends were in his pickup one day and a deer ran oout in the road. He swerved to miss the deer and ran in the ditch, hit the other side. He got a couple of cuts on his lip where he hit the steering wheel. I asked him if the air bag went off, and he said, it did, an hour later! Did a lot of good!
