Castor oil works on arthritis

I found Caster oil does works on my arthritis. My thumbs, arms and shoulders have hurt for decades. Thought I would have to live with the pain. Nothing gave me long term relief, then I tried castor oil. It smells rancid, stinks. So I decided to cover up the smell with Thera-gesic (50/50) with has a strong menthol smell. I feel great. This doesn't work for a friend, but it works for me. I applied it to hands, arms and upper body. Nice to sleep without being in pain.

Does caster oil work for anyone else?

If you drive I-8 between Yuma and Gila Bend (AZ), you can look out in the desert and see where plants were planted in rows many, many years ago. Some plants are still surviving without irrigation. The whole program was a failed attempt to grow caster beans on a large scale to be used for medical purposes. Apparently there wasn't enough irrigation water available to grow sufficient quantity to be profitable.

Never heard of that one. I've tried several over the counter concoctions over the years with no affect. Even had several injections in my spine and shoulder. That didn't help much either. The doctors finally put me on a pain killer regimen to cover the pain up. I really don't like taking opioids, so I take the minimum dose to get by on. Some days there just isn't enough pills.

Talked to a guy who knew more details about the castor bean program. The whole thing turned out to be a scam. The castor beans were planted to entice investors, with never any intentions to bring water to the area, which would have been very costly. After they had enough investors (suckers?), they took the money and disappeared.

There was a lot of that going on in AZ back in those days - and there still is so investors have to be alert.

When I heard a but casgtor oil for pain relief, I thought it was a scam too, but just try it. Works for me.

It works great for sealing tubeless tires to the rims stopping air leaks.

I mix it with methanol to make glow fuel for model aircraft. Also works great when mixed with beeswax and a bit of Murphy's Oil Soal for a lube for patching round balls in muzzleloaders.

Not sure why applying it externally would help arthritis - but just the act of rubbing it in would be soothing and limber up the muscles. I have arthritis, bad in my knees, and what I find helps the most is to keep moving.

There is a difference between Thera-gesic (50/50) which has a strong menthol smell and methanol.
