Roaring Spring, Blair Co. Pa., Man killed yesterday while working under a chopper, Hydraulic line ruptured, machine fell on him.
A REMINDER TO BLOCK RAISED EQUIPMENT.

I know I am guilty of being in a hurry at times, and I'd guess many others would be too. A tragic situation to remind us all to take the time and put safety first. I'll admit, hydraulic lines really scare me. When a line goes, there is NO time to respond quick enough to avoid disaster.

Not too long ago a good friend of mine passed this way. He was under a truck lifted up on a big loader and the hydraulic line ruptured.

Had a swather header frame fall on my arm about 2 weeks ago I am lucky to still have an arm at all I was working under it trying to put s pin in when the bucket on the skid leader holding the frame up broke off droping the thing on my arm
