Cracked fender

Wife's car is a 2002 Saturn. It has plastic fenders on it. She had a deer run into the front fender and cracked it. Is there an adhesive available to repair it or will I need to replace the fender?

Go to a body shop they will know what to use depends on the process that was used to make it and material some is easier to fix than others.

Depends on what type of plastic it is. Some types of plastics can be welded, some can't. When I used to do snowmobile repair work, I used a flexible epoxy to repair the cowls that couldn't be welded. I got the stuff at the local auto parts store. It might be worth a try.

Those fenders are cheap and plentiful in the junkyards around here. Not difficult to replace either. Most likely, you can find a used one that is even the right color.

its an smc (sheet molded compound ) plastic. there is an adhesive for that. you will need to bond something to the back side for added strength.

Well I have a2002 Saturn Vue. It is light gray. Someone at the store hit the left rear door. This door is part of the wheel well. At the time a good door was 400-500. I did not want to spend that type of money on it. So I took some good USA 3M made Duct tape and covered the hole and broken area of the door. I then trimmed the tap to look like a wheel well cover/extension. I did the other side just to make them look the same. The tape lasts about six months or so. and I just recover the top. Takes about five minutes. The tape is pretty thick over the broken/missing piece now. LOL So YES DUCT TAPE!!!!!!!!
