Broke 2 things today, my 520 Gehl rake broke and then went to grind feed and almost full of feed and oil poured out of the gear box, bearing went out of it, Gehl feed mill! Or just not a good day for Gehls! LOL

I know one of these days that will be me - I'm still using a JD 400 grinder. It gets used a lot but it's in decent shape. I think it helps that I use a Farmall M on it. I won't hook it to a tractor with more hp. You just end up tearing stuff up when something needs to give and the tractor isn't it.

I was moving some deadfall today and one of them swung around and smacked my unprotected rad and put the old ford out of commission. So I picked up the chainsaw, cut a couple of trees and the chain came off. So then I just helped my better half burn. Guess I'll try and fix them both tomorrow. (The tractor and the saw, not the better half :) - she doesn't need fixin'.)

I went to work yesterday and broke a boot lase first thing, knew it was going to be a bad day. It was down hill from there.

I bought a small used Woods Zero Turn back in 2004. I maintain it well. Bought the first new set of blades for it last year. But I know one of these days is going to be its last. I think the engine will go first. We're checking into a newer one this winter.

Most dealers around me close at noon on Saturday. Seems like every time I break down its about 12:01 PM on Saturday. Last week it was a water pump on a Kubota. It went Friday night but it was after 12 Sat. before a got it apart and realized what I needed.
