thinking about building a grapple for my loader bucket to move brush and small logs around.as i get older that kind of work keeps getting harder.i like keeping woods and field edges cleaned up thought a grapple might work out good for me.
THANKS RICK

I use an 80" grapple from W. R. Long. Had it for 4 years and nothing bent or broken. Very well made. I have it on a Deutz Fahr Agrofarm 100 which is 100 hp with a Stoll loader. Have the rear tires loaded with methanol/water and the methanol/water weighs 2,200 pounds. Use it for logs, cleaning up brush and fire wood after it's split.I burn 18 cords of wood a year. Can pull up small trees. Vines and stuff like multi floral rose it does great. Pulls the roots and dirt falls through the tines. Moves large rock as well. Every farm needs one.

I bought a 66" open bottom Edge (sold by Gehl) grapple about 2 years ago. It weight about 750 Lbs. and looks very much like yours in the photo.

Very happy with it so far.

Here are mine. More designed for hay but they work good with brush too.

Here's the grapple I built for my skidsteer. I bought the cylinders and claws at auction and built the rest. Not the best for real small pieces with the forks on the bottom, but will a lot of brush and logs in a hurry. After you get one, you'll wonder how you got along without it.
