differential fluid in a TO 20

Can anyone tell me what fluid to put in a Ferguson to20? I have to drill a few post holes tomorrow and my PTO seal leaks. My shop manual doesn't say what kind of fluid to use.

Tedregentin, 90wt. GL-1 Gear lube should work for you.

what is in it now? The original fluid was 80-90 straight gear lube but modern trans-hydra fluid is now an approved fluid.

Lots of information in the Ferguson forum. GL-1 as noted, not GL-5,sulpher is hard on the bronze bushings, or if in cold climates, 10-40 motor oil in winter.

If you have a TSC near by they sell the 90w mineral oil in two gallon jugs. It's labeled Ford tractor mineral oil. For use in older Ford tractors. If you don't have a TSC, Napa also sells the 90w mineral oil in 5 gallon jugs.
