Final thrust, baled last today. Had one field that I was just let go back. Decided to mow it, then it became obvious there was too much to just let go back, so offered it to a friend. Little did I know there would be 154 bales. Afternoon wife, young hired help, and I baled another 288 more onto wagons. They are safely in the pole barn. Can load them into the haymow at my leisure - they're safe for now. Now if friend just picks his up before rain this weekend!

Baler has been giving me fits with knotter issues all summer. After about 25 or so with 4 failures, I adjusted the bale tension on the bale chamber, and no failures for the rest of the day.

I had heart surgery a week ago Tuesday, and lifting isn't on my program right now. Drove tractor for first field, dropping them on the ground. Afternoon, wife drove, I dragged them off bale chute, young man stacked wsgons.

But it's donr and I'm whupped!

Wow, take care of yourself, but,,, why would you not have a thrower on your baler? at least save one step of handling the bales?
