DO NOT put anything in that transmission other than the current equivalent to the Ford specified fluid.... M2C-134D. NO ADDITIVES are needed. You can get what the CNH dealer has currently, or check the container of any equivalent fluids available, make sure it states it meets the above specification, it will be listed, that or select-o-speed compatible, I've seen that on pails of hydraulic fluid that is compatible for use in this transmission, that say select-o-speed on the pail or container.
I&T book may not be the best service manual for one of these, I would want the Ford Shop Manual & any supplements issued, corresponding to the year of the tractor by serial number. You may have a specific version of that transmission, later ones were a bit easier to service, different oil filter etc.
