I see the post below about ups shipping. I have question about Fastenal shipping.
I have seen add where guys say they will drop an item off at Fastenal and you call and make arrangment. How does this work?? and how much does it cost?? is it from anywhere
Fastenal stores are?? Thanks oldiron29

Any Fastenal store will ship it to another Fastenal store. Usually at a cheaper rate especially if it is a heavy item. Just strap it to a pallet. Link below might help you get started.
Fastenal shipping

I have a Fastenal store near by that I get Quite a bit of hardware from. I always buy a bag of 12, even if I only need one or two.
I just call them and tell them what I need and a worker will drop them off on his way home that evening. Same price as I pay in the store.
I did have to set up an account with them.

I shipped a set of wheel weights from Maryland to Wisconsin through Fastenal. They go store to store. The guy at my local store said they do it all the time. Before that I had heard you can ship with them, but never actually tried it. Buyer wanted to use them so I gave it a try. There's a spot on their website you go to request a quote. They got right back with me with a price. I strapped the weights to a skid and dropped them off after work. They have a big truck come by our local store twice a week, and the weights were put on it the next visit. I never priced ups or fed ex, but it cost $135 to ship my 300lbs of weights to Wisconsin. Only would have been $140 to ship 2 sets (600lbs). I didn't think that was terrible.

I have used them twice as the receiver of a shipment, the last just last week. To ship a JD H1 plow from Connecticut to Texas on a double pallet with a declared weight of 600#s (probably high) the cost was $225.

The only two issues that I have run across were:
1. The paper work only lists the shipping party, not the receiving party. See if you can get both parties on the paperwork.

2. The store workers don't always know how to handle a shipment that is not store related. My recommendation is to provide pictures of the shipment to the receiving store with some contact info for the receiving party so they know to expect it.
