Grinding Stone Cleaning

I sharpen my chainsaws with my Dremel tool, and after a couple of sharpenings, the stone will get gummed up, and doesn't work very well. What would be the best way to clean it? I've tried brake cleaner, and that doesn't seem to work
Thanks
Pete

I have gone to carbide burrs and eliminated the issues. I have yet to wear one out, though granted I don't cut as much wood as I did 20 years ago.

A stone dressing block that comes with most sets. I also see them hanging on pegs where they sell the stones if you didn't get one. If I am closer to my post grinder than the dressing block I flip them both on and dress up the small stone. I use the post grinder to shape or dress my die grinder stones in the tool shop.

If you will use water, oil,or,even fuel oil, kerosene it will wash it out as you use it. Just have to add some as you do the grinding. sort of like when you run water on a stone as you sharpen knives.
