One thing you can say about early farm tractor development is that some body tried about everything as far as design goes, at one time or another. There certainly wasn't any lack of ideas.

if you look at the motor its simalar t the old hit and miss engines
they had a tank around the cyl that cooled the motor

gonna put a narrow front under an early homebrew Wheel Horse.
Most pics I see of old stuff use that steering arrangement.
