Friend of mine had I think 3 outboard motors at local show this Labor Day, Couple of Oliver tractors, A massey that was built by Oliver, and a Ferguson 40 with the mounted baler and a New Holland 166 self propelled baler.

Yup.

Sign says made 2 for State of Iowa, looks like they speculate for snow removal? That would have been right after the war years wouldn't it, when making anything new for non-war use would have been unusual. I suppose getting back to normal development and production of stuff and things?

Pretty sure the outboard is a rebadged Scott Atwater. They made them for a lot of different companies. I had one that was a Firestone, at least I was told it was a Scott...
