Ford 4000 4cyl tie rod ends

I replaced the tie rod ends on my 4000 4 cyl a few years ago and was not able to get the correct ones, I used the ends for an 800 with power steering but they are too small on the spindle end to get tight. I was wondering if anyone knew of an end that would fit the spindle of the 4000? It is the industrial model with the solid front axel and power steering. I am not opposed to welding an end on the current rod as that was what I did the last time, just too small inside the spindle and I see the wheels floating while I drive.

Could you carefully line the taper hole with steel shimstock? Preferably one layer of the correct thickness with no overlaps to take the slack so the stud will tighten.

c' mon,,where is your" out of the box possibility thinking: LOL,.you probably got a pc of tin laying around that can easily be fitted perfectly ,.soda can, ect ,// give me a 2 liter plastic bottle, utilty knife ,and duct tape and I can make it thru harvest season .. parts from a used ford truck drag link has been repurposed to fit 30 series case tractors with a little enginuity at my farm ..

Had the same problem with a customers pre '64 industrial. Found that IH p/n 379326R91 had the same threads, and fit the taper in his arm. Check this site, we got his from A&I. You should have a local dealer who handles them if this site does not have it.
