Had a 16 inch pulley on a 28 foot bin roof auger I made years ago...Browning hub with jack screws that wouldn"t budge the center. Heated with the rosebud, applied wax as it cooled. Had to quit for the night, next day, a half turn on the jack screw and the hub slid off.

Wax flows between mating parts, threads, etc. to loosen through the rust. Has never failed me- even on tractor manifold bolts. One time, a spark plug, inaccessible to the torch, came loose after three apps with just engine heat.

I have used wax for years, bees wax seems to be faster but the other day I just used candle wax on some 460 manifolds, didn't break one bolt
